Refresher Course

Aimed at current full licence holders, a refresher course is intended for drivers who may not have driven for some time, or may want to update skills and knowledge. This will entail an informal chat about what your requirements are, and a short relaxed driving assessment to see what your driving is like. A plan can then be formulated to suit your specific needs and help you reach your own personal goal of what you want to achieve. You can cover as much or as little as you like, some people for example just want to look at motorways or help with understanding certain complex junctions.

Fleet Driver Development

A range of courses designed for company vehicle drivers to reduce the high risks they face whilst driving as part of their work. A fifth of all road traffic consists of vehicles used for work purposes, yet up to a third of all collisions involve one of those vehicles. Driving as part of your job has increased risks which can be managed and reduced. Undertaking a course can help reduce the likelihood of such accidents that would usually result in lost man hours or use of vehicle. Not only that, employers are now required by law to provide adequate driver training for any employee who drives a vehicle on a road as part of their job description, whether a vehicle is provided or the driver uses their own. Benefits include reduced fuel consumption, enhanced vehicle control, correct road procedure, defensive driving techniques and advanced hazard awareness and planning. As an employer providing company vehicles you may even want a potential employees driving assessed before you let them loose on the roads advertising your company. Your vehicles being seen driven badly certainly won’t attract any new business!

Occupational Driving Assessment

Your employee or potential employee will be assessed over the period of about 90 minutes whilst driving a mixture of road types to establish their general standard of driving.
